Joey (everybody calls him ‘Weeg’, pronounced as if the G were a J) is currently studying for his certification as a Registered Healer and Holistic Health Practitioner with the International Natural Healer's Association. He is also a member of the International Association of Reiki Practitioners, the Center for Reiki Research, and the American Holistic Health Association.
     Weeg is a Christian and Freemason and truly believes God made our world an energetic one. Everything is energy and energy seeks a balance. When our energetic system is blocked, impeded, or out of balance, we often manifest physical signs of illness. Energetic imbalances may be caused by emotional, dietary, environmental, or traumatic injury issues. Modern Western medicine seems to only mask the symptoms of illness with pharmaceuticals - which create a myriad of devastating side effects. Energy Therapists (like Reiki Practitioners) offer themselves to God so He may use them to transmit His energy (Qi, Reiki, Prana) so that clients may experience therapeutic effects on a spiritual, emotional and physical level.
     Weeg has trained with Sifu Ron Weatherford in Shui Lung Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Qigong, and Reiki, and will soon test for his Black Sash in that system. After becoming attuned to 2nd Degree Reiki in 2008, he has since trained to 2nd Degree Reiki with a total of 3 different instructors and will attain his mastership in 2012.
     Weeg began his martial arts career in 1987, studying Tae Kwon Do. His first teacher, Charlie Lavanchy, taught him that the martial arts are not only for fighting, that their true aim is in self-improvement and the development of character. Weeg has studied under nine different instructors in a number of various styles and currently holds a 4th degree Black Belt in Okinawan (Ryu Kyu) Kempo. Ryu Kyu Kempo focuses on utilizing Traditional Chinese Medicine (five-element theory) to disrupt Qi along the body's meridians - thus allowing a smaller person to disable a larger, stronger opponent.
     He teaches Okinawan Kempo at Club Bushido at 1230 Heinlein Rd.

(C) READINGS: FRIDAY ONLY, 2pm to 9pm:
Channeled Guidance with Reflexion Card Readings.   CYNTHIA WAYLAND: $35 for 30 minutes, $70 for 60 minutes. Using either the Reflexion Deck or the Osho Zen Tarot Deck as a tool for for focus, Cynthia and The Brotherhood will work with you to uncover and clarify the issue or issues in your life that are of most concern to you.

Gina earned her Licensed Massage Practitioner (LMP) status through the Washington State Dept. of Health (MA#8444) in 1995. She continues to maintain that license. There are many great reasons to schedule a 15 or 30 minute chair massage!

Are there any people who should NOT have a chair massage?
1.) If someone has been involved in an auto accident within the last 7 days, he/she should consult his/her chiropractor or doctor before receiving chair massage.

2.) The client needs to be able to get on & off of the massage chair. Therefore, if someone has trouble with hips, knees or balance issues, it might not work as well for that person. It might not be safe for him/her to get on & off the chair. If the person can easily get on & off a standard bicycle, the massage chair is probably OK.

3.) If the client has the flu, a cold or ANY other type of infection, it is best to wait until that fully passes before having a chair massage.

4.) If the client has uncontrolled heart or circulatory conditions, diabetes or cancer, he/she should get a doctor's OK before making an appointment for a chair massage. Same goes for high risk pregnancy or someone in 1st trimester of pregnancy who has had difficulty getting pregnant.
